Sandra Marion McGee (Thorpe) of Lincoln RI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17th, 2022. Born in Pawtucket, on September 27th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Marion H. Thorpe (Green). She was predeceased by her loving husband, James A. McGee, as well as her first born son, Thomas G. Roach and her siblings Barbara LaFountaine, Austin (Chick) Thorpe and Donald Thorpe. She is survived by her children, Daniel Roach, Michael Roach, Catherine Meyerjack and her husband William, and Deborah Bruscini as well as her sister Donna Pollitt and several nieces and nephews. She was the loving Nana to her seven grandchildren, Paul, Tally, and AJ Bruscini, Michael and Daniel Roach, and Nicole and Taylor Meyerjack. Sandra worked as a housekeeper at Hopkins Manor and Grandview Nursing home for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Lincoln Senior Center for several years. She loved cruising the Caribbean and Alaska as well as other locations. She also loved sitting on the beach, playing bingo and cards with friends, celebrating the Fourth of July all year round, and spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, February 23rd from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February, 24th at 10:00am at St. Jude's Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln, RI. Please meet directly at church. Her burial will follow at Mount St Mary's Cemetery, 661 Prospect St., Pawtucket, RI. In lieu of flowers please give to woundedwarriorproject.org in Sandra’s name.
